Hey All,
Just wanted to post a short blog about whats new and exciting in my life. It's a miracle that there's anything new OR exciting since I'm currently unemployed and losing my mind, but in my abundance of free time, I'm trying to get my music back together.
So firstly, I'd like to tell you about an awesome new site called SellaBand that my dear friend Christian Gallant introduced me to. It's a site that allows musicians to create a profile (god bless the new revoloution of online social networking) where fans can go and help that particular musician receive the FANtastic opportunity of recording a professional album. Now how do you do that, one might ask... well here's how it works:
On SELLABAND, artists try to raise $50,000 or $100,000, which will entitle them to go to the studio and record a quality album with the aid of music industry professionals.
We're looking for Believers.
That is what we call the music lovers who help finance the artists' SELLABAND album.
With as little as $10.00 you can support an artist and help them on their way to the recording studio. By buying a ‘Part’ for $10.00 you become a ‘Believer’ in an artist and if they make it to the studio, this first Part will make sure you receive a Limited Edition of the album you helped create. At any point before your artist of choice has raised the full $50,000/$100,000, you can either buy more Parts, move your Part(s) to another artist, or get all your money back.
For more information about this awesome project, visit the SellaBand website.
Secondly, I'm trying to come up with a list of cover tunes that you (my beloved fans ;)) would like to hear me perform live. Of course I plan on singing my originals as well, but I'd like to include some great covers by some great artists. So far, my list of covers include songs by Janis Joplin, Damhnait Doyle, Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Taylor Swift, The Wreckers, Amanda Marshall, The Dixie Chicks, The Cranberries and Jann Arden. My task for you guys, is to help me compile this list. If you can think of any song that you'd like to hear me cover, any and all suggestions are welcome. Be forewarned, I ain't doin' Metallica! ;) lol. You can send your suggestions to the email address listed under the contact section of this website.
And, I think that about covers it. I look forward to your suggestions, and can't wait to get back playing music again!
Thanks in advance for all your support, it really means the world to me.
Peace & Love.
Ps. Stay tuned for upcoming events and performances.

Hey there,
Well last night, Patrick and I had a gig at the College of the North Atlantic here in St. John's. It went really well. We performed a bunch of my originals and some covers, for about an hour and a half. So afterwards, a lady came up to us and said "You guys were fabulous, and you have such a lovely voice. You sound just like Damhnait Doyle." My jaw dropped and I said "I LOVE YOU" and hugged the woman. The poor lady must have thought I was off my rocker, but I explained that Damhnait was my biggest inspiration and hoped she understood my erratic behavior! Haha. Another man told me I sounded like I had a lot of Norah Jones influence in my music... I don't really think so, but hey, I'll take it! So it was a lot of fun!
I really want to be doing more performing. I really miss it. But anyways, that's about all for now. If anyone knows anyone looking to join a band, tell them to email me! (See "contact" page)
Peace & Love

Last night I went to Damhnait Doyle's Book Release at The Ship Inn. All I have to say is "WOW". That woman never ceases to amaze me. She is such a phenomenal woman; not only is she incredibly talented but just so damn real. She inspires me to pursue my music dreams. She makes me so proud to be a Newfoundlander!
Patrick and I have begun our band mate search. We've had a few people contact us that were interested so hopefully things will work out. I'm really excited to get a band together. The search for a band name continues though. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Peace & Love.
